This 3-day training focuses on (U)RANS modeling and aims to get the participants familiar with thebasic theoretical concepts used in turbulent combustion modeling and to provide hands-on exercisesto apply the theory in practice.

Course participants should have basic knowledge of using OpenFOAM technology for CFD modelingpurposes. Combustion theory basics will be covered during the first day of the training. Advancedtopics like LES, radiation, heat-transfer and pollutants are not covered. The training will be provided inEnglish.

Day 3

  • 10:30 – 12:00 – Tutorial: confined, premixed flame with XiFoam
  • 12:00 – 13:00 – Lunch
  • 13:00 – 15:00 – Tutorial: confined, premixed flame with XiFoam
  • 15:00 – 17:00 – Tutorial, discussions and wrap-up

Fee

Eur. 2250,- per attendee, excl. VAT. Lunch is included in the training fee.

Training material

The fee includes hardcopy handouts and electronic tutorial files.

Computational resources

Trainees should bring a laptop computer to connect to the HPC Linux system with OpenFOAM.

Participant cancellation

100% of the course price will be refunded up to September 1st 2015.50% of the course price will be refunded up to October 15th 2015. No refund is possible after this date.

Organizer cancellation
